What is an A2P Messaging Campaign?
A2P stands for Application-to-Person messaging.
It refers to SMS or text messages sent from a business, app or platform directly to an end user’s mobile device — rather than being sent from a standard mobile handset.
Why do I need an A2P Messaging Campaign and what’s included?
An A2P messaging campaign enables compliant two-way communication between your business and customers over the internet.
It allows you to use SMS for:
Marketing promotions: Flash sales, discount codes, product launches
Transactional alerts: Order confirmations, delivery updates, appointment reminders
Customer engagement: Surveys, loyalty programs, event invites
Security: Two-factor authentication (2FA), account alerts
Each campaign supports up to 49 standard numbers as sender IDs.

Campaign Setup: $65.50 (one-time)
Monthly Subscription: $65.50 per month
Inbound SMS (from US destinations): Free
Outbound SMS rates:
To US Phone Numbers: $0.0229 per SMS

Requirements
A2P campaigns must meet specific compliance requirements, including registration with a verified business name and messaging details.
Mandatory message elements:
- Opt-In message: Must include SMS disclosure with:
o “Message and Data Rates may apply.”
o STOP to opt-out and HELP instructions.
o Message frequency (e.g. how often messages will be sent).
- Opt-Out message: Must include STOP confirmation.
- Help message: Must include contact information.
Your brand name must appear in all Opt-In, Opt-Out, and Help messages.

Setup Process
A2P Campaigns require registration with governing bodies, which can take up to six weeks to process.
Once your campaign is approved and registered, you can assign telephone numbers to it and begin sending messages.
