Configuring a PBX SIP device with Grandstream Wave on your smartphone
Grandstream Wave is a free softphone application that allows users to connect to their SIP accounts from anywhere in the world. Utilise on any Android or iOS device to increase mobility and stay connected to essential communications.
Once you have logged into your customer portal, select the PBX tab and click on the SIP devices at the bottom-left corner. Open the SIP device details you would like to configure to the Wave softphone.
On your smartphone open the app store. Download and install Grandstream Wave and open the application once installed. Select the settings icon at the bottom-right corner and then account settings. On the third step, you should click on the plus button to add a new SIP account, as shown in the image below.
Next, select the SIP account and enter manually the SIP details located in the previous step from your customer portal. Please note that you must enter the port number to the end of the SIP server address using a colon then the port number. This is shown in the screenshot below and should you enter the password incorrectly it is important you fix the password and wait 15 minutes before attempting to reconnect.
Finally, the device status should change from offline to online and you will be able to connect the object to your call flow.
