Webphone End User Setup

In this article

Introduction

This article will cover how to finish setting up the Webphone Device on the End Users PC/Laptop. If you haven't received an email to setup a password, please see this article for setting up the Webphone at the User level Webphone Configuration.

How to Setup

  1. The User will receive an invite to set their password.

  2. Once a Password has been created, you will be navigated to the Webphone Login Page. If you have the Webphone Browser License, you can proceed to login with Username and Password. (See below for Desktop application download)

Note: At the bottom of the login page there are options to choose other languages that are available.

Downloading the Desktop Application

  1. On the Login Page for the Webphone, at the bottom there is a prompt to download the application. Select the relevant Operating System (Windows, Mac, Linux)

  2. Once Downloaded, open the application and login with Username and Password.

2-Factor Authentication Setup

When you first login to the webphone you will be prompted to set up 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) with a mobile authenticator app. This is required for the security of your account.

The image below shows the screen you will see to enable 2FA.

In step 1, you are given links to download Google Authenticator for IOS or android.

You can however, use any authenticator app you wish.

In Google authenticator, you will need to start a new account before you can scan the qr code or enter the secret key. You can start a new account by selecting the + icon in the bottom right corner.

You will be presented with the option to either scan a QR code, or enter a setup key.

Scanning the QR code is recommended as it is simpler than manually typing the key.

The QR code can be scanned from the webphone 2FA setup page.

Please make sure you are scanning the first QR code, and not the code that links to the Google Authenticator app.

After scanning the code, you can find the 6 digit code on the app and enter it below the QR code back on the webphone:
